What? My if was "of you asked my preference on solving arguments" (I've been playing my own mini game the whole time where I try to relate my response to the next sentence choice. (Bonobo monkeys, test moon monkeys and all... But bonobo monkeys don't fight so I posted my if as that.)) Anyway back to the game:I am trying to figure out how to play this game according to the OP's rules:
<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The rules are as follows;
You type what you would do in response to the last post...
Then you type a scenario for the next poster...
EG;
---
First post:
I would have a sandwich
If I was a doorman.
Next post:
I would open the door for pretty ladies only!
If I was a spaceman
Next post:
I would search for intelligent life
If I was walking my dog in the park?
So to begin...
I would post this
If I was born in Japan...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you asked my preference on solving arguments [Post #143]
So, if that were written in the OP's format, that would be...
I don't know.
What would that be?
I am not trying to be obnoxious.
I see that I have not been doing this according to the original rules.
I was ready to make an answer, but it wouldn't fit the original format.
You have the first part right, the "I would".This game is really hard for me to follow.
I can't tell if it's too complex or if there is less to it
than I think.
I can put an answer to....
"If you asked me my preference on solving arguments"
easy enough.
If you asked me my preference on solving arguments,
I would say modus ponens.
But this seems backwards to me.
The examples OP had show the "would" then the "was."
I don't get it.
The point is it's backwards, makes it more challenging. Just think of it as a mad lib:This game is really hard for me to follow.

Sounds like you understand it more thoughThe difficulty I have is with the OP's directions.
If I had written the directions, there would be a space in between
the FIRST "I would"/'If I was' example.
That would show that the "I would" was in response to a (an imaginary)
previous post.
Also, the "If I was" would be written in subjunctive.
First post:
I would have a sandwich
If I were a doorman.
Next post would be a response that finishes the thought of "If I were a doorman"
I would open the door for pretty ladies only!
If I were a spaceman....etc.

When I write game directions I try to make them failure-free.
It takes a couple weeks, generally. I have an idea, I work on it, I let it sit
and cool, so that I can look at it later to evaluate it without being caught
up in enthusiasm regarding how much fun it seems like it would be.
Otherwise, I could be putting up something that I think is playable, but
really has possibilities for misunderstanding. If there is going to be any
'challenge' in a game, I don't want it to be in grasping how to play it.
