I want a 21.9 Ultra-widescreen monitor!

These are so freaking cool! I hope all future monitors will be this wide.

I'd personally opt out for a 1440p monitor instead. Why? You'd get several extra vertical pixels without losing the horizontal resolution and (possibly) compatibility with video cards. That one is 2560x1080, right? Take a look at this one...

There are cheaper models as well, but this one saves you at least $100 and gives you more pixel real estate. Or were you considering the LG for a different reason?

Personally, I like the look of such a wide monitor. LG's version was just very aesthetically pleasing to me. But yeah, I also noticed that it doesn't have as many vertical pixels and the same amount of horizontal pixels as a standard 2560x1440 screen.

I would want that if I could rotate it 90 degrees, so I can view a shitload of code that I'm working on.
