I hate having a dead father on top of what I have

My dad died nearly 3 years ago at 16. It angers me because I didn’t deserve it and to have it be a contribution to my struggles genuinely sucks. I wish I didn’t go through things like this.
 
Went through quite some things myself in the past. I do not know what to say to make things better. If I could I would. The panic and shock is the bit that hits. I went to so many funerals in such a short time. I was numb.
 
I’m sorry you have to deal with that loss, that sucks. I hope something good happens to you today.
 
That is very sad to hear about, @StoneCold Aspie. 16 sounds like an incredibly rough time to lose your father, and I can understand why it makes you feel angry. I wish you didn't have to go through this either.

I hope that you can continue moving forward and keep the things that your dad was able to teach you close to your heart. It seems like such a sad a great loss would cause one to grow up very quickly.

If you ever want to share stories or talk about him here, I'm sure some of us would be interested. No pressure to share that sort of thing though - whatever feels right for you.

Life isn't fair. This is a lesson we all need to learn.

But it does suck to lose a loved one. The closest way I could relate, is that lost my grandparents on my Dad's side of the family.

Though, in a sense. My Father may as well be dead. He has never been in my life in anyway that counts. So it's hard to justify feeling anything for him.
 
You are definitely feeling on the bad end of life, and like why did this happen to you? Did you get along well with your father? Is your relationship with your mom okay?
 
I can relate.

I lost my father at the age of 22. Having just graduated from college when I desperately needed my father's numerous job contacts in a terrible job market at the time. And that for the next few years I more or less floundered trying to find a steady job and career.
