how does it feel to have asperger ?

Well if an aspie can get a girlfriend or boyfriend (not me, even when I cared to try), then they really have nothing to worry about because they're not cursed when it comes to the social hurdles. How aspies and love go together is a mystery for me.

I lucked out and found my wife in the 9th grade. Actually a friend sort of got us together. It took me 2 weeks to get up the nerve to call her, then we talked on the phone 3 hours. We have been married 26 years now. If not for her I am pretty sure I would never even dated anybody.

There are many more social hurdles, the girlfriend/boyfriend thing is only one of them. Not always sure it's worth the trouble.
If you can master talking to women on a level where they pursue you as much as you do them (impossible for me), then everything else is easier by comparison. Most are destined to be able to, me, well I figure I must have some kind of invisible aura or force that prevents me from being seen in the way of a friend or lover...."who, that guy (pulls slight face), oh ummm, no not really". And thats me for life :(

I swear I need to further look into if an aspie with a girlfriend or wife, is or was ever really an aspie. Or maybe it was just the will of the universe for you to get her.

Einstein, bill gates, issac newton, charles darwin, thomas jefferson, george orwell and many more all had wives. I dont think aspies are aliens they still love and they can still be loved, its just the matter of wanting to try and meet someone or if the fall in our lap.

Ok firstly - Ah you're a new member, what would you know. Joking.

Secondly- All those celebs probably had arranged marriages or women simply weren't allowed to say no back then, because they weren't seen as being actual people until the late 60's.

What do you mean "probably?" Anyway, Einstein's marriages were not arranged. He already knew his first wife, and he met his second wife while in college.

As for "everything else is easier in comparison," can we stop with the "girls are fundamentally different from guys and harder to interact with" thing? Talking to women is exactly the same as talking to anyone else. Trust me, I've done it. But if you're talking to people only in an attempt to get sex, then that harder because--here's the key, people--everyone wants you to relate to them as people, not as mere masturbatory aids.

Having a conversation with someone when you have no interest in having a conversation, just in getting their clothes off, is inherently inauthentic and aspies struggle with that probably more so than other, more genuine interactions, but the difference disappears when the main attraction is what they actually have to say.

Look into my eyes!!
No I wasn't referencing sexual encounters (and yes I agree with aspies struggling in this context- too bad for those who crave it, although I do wonder if there really would be much wordplay in the beginning, you're both simply fulfilling a 'need').

Now back to my intended point, in all fairness guys typically have more to relate to with other guys (same with girls, unless it's a tomboy), girls needn't be a challenge for all guys (and indeed even I can do this, sometimes even well-ish), but it would become harder when there's more than one girl (i.e a small group) and certain types of socializing become gradually harder, girls are just natural born socialists who develop this earlier than men. Hence the reason that the internet is female (originally intended for science/war and eventually culminating in chatting and sharing etc).

Look into my eyes!!
