how did you know you had Aspergers ?

Hello Potterprincess and welcome! I was diagnosed with Asperger's in 2017 when I was 14 years old by my psychiatrist while i was being treated for an eating disorder. I had no clue prior to that that i might be autistic, so it was a surprise but a relief and it explained a lot why I was so different and "weird" as people might think.

I'm currently still waiting for an assessment on the NHS. The idea of me being autistic came from my husband doing some training at work to help staff assist autistic clients, and he recognised a lot of the signs in me.

Welcome to the forums.
