How did this forum get big so quickly?

Lol. If you could have listened to my post, it would have been very out of tune. :(
 
What interests me more than "How did this forum get so big?"
is..."What would prompt more people to continue visiting this
forum?"

Since I have been sending Birthday Greetings, I notice that
many of the members aren't active. It is not unusual to see
that members whose names appear in the birthday notice
have not been here in 2 to 5 years.

I understand how a person may not be here every day, or
every week/month...but I feel that somehow, some expectation
was not met, when I see a member who registers, makes no
posts, and does not return.

This is me thinking--- What are people looking for when
they come here? And, Are people finding what they are
looking for?
