Hi, newbie here

Welcome and all the best on your journey to discovery, wherever that may lead you!

As a book lover, I absolutely second @Thinx 's suggestion about Jessica Kingsley Publishers.

Two women's autobiographies I have from them on my bookshelf and which I quite recommend are
Nerdy, Shy, and Socially Inappropriate by Cynthia Kim
Pretending to be Normal by Dr. Liane Holliday Willey

There is no threshold for posting.

Tap or click the FORUMS tab at the top of the page, then on the FORUMS panel chose one such as Introduce Yourself or whichever is most applicable, and once selected there is at the bottom of that panel ~ a POST NEW THREAD option, tap or click that and take it from there. :)

Thanks all. I had assessment, which was 2 hours and entirely an interview/chat. She doesn’t want to diagnose me yet because I have a complex trauma history, and isn’t sure I meet some diagnostic criteria (too much insight/social awareness/empathy), so she’s referred me to a colleague to have a couple of psychotherapy sessions then I’ll do a final session with her and she’ll make a decision.
im glad she’s being thorough, but it left me feeling quite frustrated!
