Hi, my name's Maria, and I am currently awaiting diagnosis for Asperger's.

All my life I've felt like an alien trying to masquerade as a normal human being, and I know that even once I begin therapy I'll probably still feel that way, but that wearing the mask of normality will be easier. So I joined this forum because I'd like to find people who can relate to that.

There's no need to feel like an alien here. I couldn't comment in any forum without feeling like I was going to be judged or laughed at for being weird, or not saying (typing) the "right" thing, til I joined this one. I can be myself here, and feel like I can take my mask off, and leave it off.
