Does he like me?

Good point the research is a bit backwards, hopefully over time some of the positive effects of illicit drugs will be known.
 
It sounds like he may be interested. Whenever your at your friends and see him, take the opportunity to smile, wave and say hello. Strike up conversation when you can. If there is a good opening, ask for his number or invite him to do something.
