Does anyone here believe we are in the biblical end times?

The concept of the end of the world is based on the Revelations. Unlike the other books of the Bible, this part is largely metaphorical, and its meaning could be interpreted in many ways depending on a theologian's denomination.
I am a non-traditional Christian and I think it would be a great mistake to take Revelations literally.
Having said that, I believe in the Second Coming, but I don't think that 1/3 of the world population will follow the Devil all the way to hell, and that half of population will vanish into thin air before arriving to unknown destination. To me these literal interpretations are the staff fairy tales are made of.

I wrote this post several years about the book of Revelation and Jesus returning. I had a vision of him once in Heaven. Read the entry to find out more. It is only quite short.
The Book of Revelation-Jesus to return

As a female that daughter of blasphemy in the book of Revelation 17:4 interests me as well.

I have been reading a bit more on the Book of Revelations of late.

What did I learn that stands out the most-

1)Message to the church’s- Keep your first love for your faith

There was clearly committed people of the faith that were given warnings by Jesus via his angels. These were the warnings to me that stood out and I will never forget.

Do not lose your first love passion for your faith-hold onto it .It seems it will see you through. There were ministers that Jesus said had passion, detested evil, uncovered falsehood in the church but he remarked they had lost their first passion. Now for one that could be love of God or the belief in miraculous powers and potential

- Basis-

Revelation 2:4 –Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou has left thy first love.

To me it seems it was barring them for being on that narrow path that Jesus stresses to come to him.

God forbid, imagine they didn’t make it and you would desire them to, they would be calling out the Lord in Heaven and Hell, disastrous.

2)Jesus will be cast Jezebel a fake prophetess into a bed of suffering for her sexual immorality tempting servants of God into sin (Revelation 2:20).

3) God seems to have beasts which are talking tellers to me which made me almost die with laughter (Revelation 19:4). They will shout out Heaven Alleluia when God is found to be only praised for his judgements on earth. There will be a party in Heaven as well when Satan is bound for 1,000 to hell and Jezebel is cast into a bed of suffering

4) God the creator will still be our creator in the new earth and heaven and Jesus will still be the Son of God as he always has been the only son of God (Revelation 22: 12-21).

Overall thoughts I wish it would come soon. God seems to me to be a great story teller, the Revelations seems at times some not in keeping with the beautiful poetry of the previous chapters, but they will be in party mode and festive spirits and I will allow that.

My thoughts-Jesus will return with angels. It is God who makes his angels spirits. They are not human beings spirits once lived (Psalm 104). It would be nice to me if our dear Lord would return with some friendly people around him-some of his comrades perhaps from the 12 disciples.

Biblical end times? As I'm not all that experienced in things biblical, take mine with a big grain of salt?

Back in the late 1930s, things would have seemed pretty bleak? A large percentage of people out of work and destitute around the world, the Dust Bowl and drought wiping out crops, Fascists to the east and west building up their militaries and chest pounding. Quite a bit of 'strange fruit' and other evils prevailed in society......
My parents grew up in that time. Even though they had good jobs later on, they still retained the frugalness that the Depression engrained on them. My dad later on looked back at WW2 as a relatively good thing that needed to happen.
Yeah, there's s--t that's going on today. Same as it ever was.

Well, I think that one reason for many people are letting the environment get trashed for the foreseeable future is because they think that the Bible promises that a total disaster will bring Jesus back, and nothing else can. So, we are getting Bible-flavored end times for thousands of species.

If it is said times, you get to either become intermediate or immediate per the whole going to heaven (or hell) part. It's more confusion the text doesn't clarify, and it's a hard point of contention between Catholics and Protestants. Do you or do you not get the cheat code? Next will be finding out if you do or don't get reincarnated to a new body or it's just new you 2.0, so you'll get to find out which side of that contention was right or wrong this whole time, as well.

I am thinking about this more and more now, although trying to live day to day still.
I just wanted to add this though that if you are Christian and not baptised consider this perhaps that we are in the final chapter perhaps of the Holy Bible. Will there be a New Holy Bible for the new earth as well.. who knows. I feel like this is a bit of party mode at times as well festive in spirits.

I feel moved to post this today.

If you a Christian and believe in Jesus and that he will return. You will know that we will go through many tribulations on the earth before he will return as the Book of Revelations say.

To get through these difficult times we need to be baptised with the Holy Spirit I think if you are a Christian to have as much support on your side to get you through. Times have been difficult of late in the world for many of us and we need a hand to get through. Prophet Joel (Acts 2 16-21 did write that God's spirit will be poured out on the earth again before the perfect one returns and the perfect one is Jesus Christ and the gifts will recede. The Holy Spirit is built to get you to the world beyond.

I was looking at this today and couldn't call it. If someone said we had began the sorrows, I wouldn't be surprised.

Matthew 24
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. ;All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

I had a vision once of the Lord, comments is not needed. We await in suspense.
The Book of Revelation-Jesus to return

It is a late night and I have been racking my brain to think of a topic to start a thread on. I consider myself a Christian, but struggle with how literally I should interpret the Bible. I do not attend church on a regular basis, but did so as I was growing up. I know the book of Revelation speaks to the end times and what events will take place.

Sometimes, I think we may be in those end times because the world is such a mess, but then I think back to history class and recall that the world has always been a mess. There have been terrible things all throughout human history. But what is intriguing is that certain prophesies in the Bible have been fulfilled even in modern history. The most influential to me is the fact that the Jews re-established their homeland in Israel. This is prophesied and needed to occur before the end times from my understanding.

It is amazing to me that Jews that were scattered across the globe at one point were able to regather in their homeland. Of course, there are Jews living everywhere in the world. More and more stories in the Bible continue to be supported by archaeological evidence. Ancient cities have been discovered that are mentioned in the Bible. But you can never prove the supernatural.

I'm rambling, but wanted to get people's thoughts.
Jewish people being driven out and returning to the homeland has happened again and again through history. It's not unique to our time.

I think that's the exactly the problem: religion. Religion creates divisions and division creates wars.

While I'm not supporting Iran and their behavior toward Israel, I think that if a Jewish state did not exist it would not have been the end of the world either.

At the end of the day all nation states do is control the people and if people aren't truly free then you need to ask yourself if establishing a nation state is ethical?

Just listened to a good podcast about "End Times Fascism," arguing that basically Christians perpetuate the very destruction they say the Bible predicts; then say it is indicative of the end times. It is a movement mostly among very wealthy people....but it's the idea here that there are Christians talking about how they should be happy because the end times are near, just look at the fires, the wars, the pestilence....which they see as being indicitive of the coming end times and new order, something that is a matter of faith because the Bible talked about these things, so why would you want to stop them. In the meantime, they are engaging in behaviors that increase the fires, the climate change, and the environmental damage, which in turn they use to justify their behavior as God's will. I will also say, I am a Christian.

Truly one of the biggest contradictions the 1% pull is also one much ignored. These powerful, wealthy, government, corporate and/or evangelical types who push their narratives of end times and destruction and that it's prophecy because god wants it.......

....and then you find out they are exactly who have some of the only spots available in these huge fallout shelters built miles underground. That's a special kind of hilarious, and that's one such reason I call such people a joke. They so clearly don't believe in any of what they peddle to everyone else.
