Godzilla, king of the monsters. Sometimes he is a villain, sometimes he saves the planet.

I love Godzilla movies.

What is your opinion on this classic character?

In my time we had a good time making fun of most Japanese science fiction movies. Though when they sent Perry Mason to Japan to fight Godzilla, I figure the big lizard didn't have a chance- in court at least. :p

I did think those two miniature gals in "Mothra" were pretty cute though.

But they did have one film I loved far more than any of the big monster movies. A Japanese film called "The H-Man". Made shortly after "The Blob". Really scared us kids...lol.

Funny, never ever got to see this one in color. It was a hard life back then. o_O

He is my favorite monster as well as fictional dinosaur. Just like you, I love Godzilla movies.

I’ve had a handful of the IDW comics and they are worth reading, too.

I also want to collect more of the S.H. Monsterarts figures of Godzilla and other kaiju.

I thought it was possibly the most lame out of all the rubbishy B grade movies and never liked it.

I actually never liked any animations of dinosaurs in any movie at all because of the way they were depicted as slow moving, stiff jointed and low in intelligence. As if the producers had only ever seen one lizard in their lives, an iguana.

Where I live there's many different species of lizard. The great majority of them are extremely fast and far more agile than any movie animation and they're quite intelligent too. Also - not one of them is Green.

Well, dinosaurs technically aren’t lizards (Birds themselves are dinosaurs, too.) and the scientific consensus on dinosaurs is very different from pop culture depictions of them, especially very early ones. It was actually partly when scientists learned more about the dinosaur-bird connection that pop culture depictions of them started to move away from the lumbering beasts they were often portrayed as, though pop culture tends to relapse in this regard.

Here are some examples of animated dinosaurs that are very active:

Godzilla himself actually isn’t officially green except for the suit in his Godzilla 2000 incarnation. He’s actually charcoal gray otherwise. But I understand why people often think he’s green because of advertisements and merchandising of him.

Why couldn't have Godzilla fallen in love with a MAN???? That's the only thing that I didn't like about him! I wanted to go with him on his climb up the Empire State Building! With ME up there, I could have saved him! Oh no! I got Godzilla mixed up with King Kong! See what it's like when you're an Aspie? Mixing Godzilla up with King Kong?

Godzilla vs Kong is actually a fun movie to watch.
