Conversations About Autism Need To Include People Like Me

"Quotes from the campaign include: "More children will be diagnosed with autism than with AIDS, diabetes and cancer combined", "autism is stealing the minds and personalities of a generation of Australian children" and "30,000 Aussie kids have been kidnapped, by autism"."

Now where have I heard claims like that before? Oh yes, that's right... that odious organisation that claims to speak for us on our behalf. It's hard to believe they are still allowed to get away with promoting such obvious garbage.

Fantastic article :)

The 17 comments beneath it are interesting too.

Great article :) Your story is very similar to my own and parts of it are identical. I haven't been diagnosed yet and I am 34.
