Illkurok
King of Isolation
I have an obsession with the color black, so much so that most of my clothes are black, the decorations for my room are black and I've even gone as far as to paint my computer desk and nightstand black just so it all matches.
I've always been drawn to the color, to me it represents power and strength, not to mention I think I look better in black versus any other color. I wish everything I own could be in the color, but sometimes that's just not possible.
I think it also makes sense that I associate the color black with heavy metal as well, especially since it is my favorite type of music. I mean, I don't go so far as to like paint my nails or anything that extreme, but people aren't really surprised either when they find out what my favorite color is with knowing my type of music.
I remember as a kid, I used to paint a lot of my pictures using black, most of them were related to another obsessive interest of mine: Star Wars. The color also matches the dark side of the Force as well, so I think in my life there is a lot of good that the color represents, it ties me more to my interests.
I don't know if this is normal for autistic people to have a color obsession like mine, but I don't really feel any different than other people. I mean, everyone has their own hobbies and obsessions too.
