Hi Guys,

An attached example of what drives me mad EVERY SINGLE TIME, (me being on the Spectrum; 'Speccie'.)

And it happens to me too often.

Disturbs my flow, needlessly, and IRRITATES ME.

I got a new phone recently, and now it has to learn all over again what words to not auto correct. The most irritating one is when it thinks I mean 'ducking' :p

I finally gave in and turned it off -worries that I want to throw down the road when I think about it.
It's on the iPad can't be a***d to turn it off.

It didn't take me very long after I first got my smartphone to turn my autocorrect off, and also that word completion prediction thing. Useful sometimes but so annoying when it gets words wrong.

I don't know if you know this, but we can still see the names at the top of the message you have there. Either way, smartphone autocorrect is the bane of my existence.

My auto correct was turned off day one... now any idiotic mistakes are mine to claim in full... oh joy : )

Its hard to explain to someone that you didn't just call them s... for brains on purpose.
I tend to let my inner thoughts tell a truth I should hide sometimes, my bad : (

There are actual names, it appears, at the top of your phone's screen.

You may want to delete that image, and just describe what your phone
does that annoys you.

Like, 'when I am writing, my phone corrects my words and that
interrupts my thoughts, so I have a lot of trouble continuing...'
Something like that.

I read this like 3 times trying to figure out what in the world you were discussing ducks for... and finally got it and then busted out laughing... ASD... I cant live without it, but damn it would be fun.

I got so fed up with it, but was hesitant because I am not the best speller, but decided that I would rather struggle with spelling than stupid auto correct, which can be of deep embarrassment.

So, went into settings and found the notifcations for auto correct and switched it off and now, no excuses lol

My spelling is way better than autocorrect. It is my typos that get me. Grrrrrrr! Ipad touchscreen.

If i trybto type wo auto votrect nothing seens to maje any sebse at all. Injsye ot so much!!!! But i cant go bsck and correct everthing because ivsm on an ipod and it is such a tiny littkebkeyboard!!!!

Does that mean they aren't real people's names or usernames?

No it means they ARE real names but it doesn't matter

I only overwrite the text in places to make the joke a bit clearer & words simpler

Hi
You may be able to turn autocorrect off. If your phone is like mine, go into Settings. Go to General, then to Keyboard. There may be an option to turn autocorrect off there.
Best of luck.

That's why I disabled autocorrect in my phone, when I write something I write it letter by letter, every character. It is not as slow as may sound, with time you'll write faster.
