If nonexistance were able to prevent suffering, would anybody know they weren't suffering anymore?
 
Isn't it like a ship at sea that is legally the territory of the country to which it is registered?
 
If the aliens look like bowls of spaghetti left out long enough to get gross, will anybody be willing to advocate for their well being?
