I just noticed the big dog on the beer stein. ( and little dogs)

It's not a functional beer stein lol, I use it as a seasonal decoration and it's from a thrift store. Goes nicely with the fall decor though

The food looks so much less appetizing in the picture than it actually was  It was pulled pork, bacon, mac n cheese, and collard greens.
The poorly behaved, 150lb dog I was walking just got spooked, ran, and pulled me all the way down the street screaming at him to stop.
Sometimes I think I don’t get paid enough.

Reminds me of my cousin's Blue Heeler. We're both convinced that her prior owner did absolutely nothing to train her. Which probably led to them abandoning her on the street for animal control to find her.

It's been quite an uphill battle, but my cousin seems to be slowly succeeding.

Glad you are OK. I had to quit riding-lessons at the barn because, among one reason, the untrained dog that was allowed to run up growling & snapping at me while the owner just said "she's weird about guys." Well lady I am weird about dogs. Some people absolutely do not train their animals.

i admit i should've trained my dog more than i did. but that's cause he was 7 pounds so he didn't tug, it was super easy to hold him back or pick him up. i love big dogs so much and there's a reason i didn't get one for myself.
My *real* birthday is very soon and I haven’t even figured out what I want to do. I don’t want to go out and have a big party. I would rather go on a trip somewhere.

    Happy real birthday....whenever it comes.

Yeah, a trip sounds better to a party. Time to drop hints! ;)

A B-day to have Fun-day. Yup. Mine b-day is actually May. Lol. The twins.
Took a bunch of dogs to the soccer fields to run around, and Enzo jumped up on a rock and this “Kodak moment” happened lol

I can't wait, they are finally saying (after they have removed 2 dog parks which they didn't maintain) they will build a new one this fall. I'm super excited, been wanting to go to one in real life for a while now.

I also think people have started seriously getting dogs, so I see more dog training issues arising, but hopefully people will train them as well, and I started to see more trained ones in the park near the spot they are opening the dog park.
Hey Luca, I saw you broke your phone :( I’m sorry to hear that.. I have an iPhone 11 as well. My dad has a backup iPhone 8 for emergencies (if I ever were to break my current phone). I wish there was a way to send over a new phone from FL to Maine.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the book.
    Although it's a J (theoretically meant for 7 to 10 year olds)
it's an amusing parody of phone usage/social media, and the companies
    that make & sell phones.

@Luca thats amazing :D I’m glad you were able to repair yours. I unfortunately can’t repair my iPad as I cannot afford it rn

Repairs on Apple products are ridiculously expensive. I just go with a local fix-it tech guy instead of the Apple Store. Hope you can get your iPad fixed soon!
A few months ago, I removed the screen protector on my phone because it was cracked, and I completely forgot to replace it. Today, I dropped my phone face down on the bathroom floor and the entire screen cracked. I can't get it replaced until tomorrow morning but I'm really debating with myself over whether I should just get an entirely new phone (I have an iPhone 11 and I've had it for years.)

I've never understood why the phones themselves are so incredibly fragile though. Dropping an unprotected iPhone onto that slate floor would see it just outright shatter, no question about it.

I was cleaning out my fridge, to move out of rental with ceramic floors. I balanced my phone on the top of the fridge door, probably because l thought my friend who never calls me would call, and down that phone went.

My partners mom broke her phone on her birthday when it fell face first out of her back pocket. She spent $200 (IIRC) to get a new phone from a merchant in Maryland.

New England is like if "autumn" were a physical location lol. Fall is my favorite season and it's my absolute favorite thing about living here. I have lived in places that didn't have seasons, and as much as I love tropical climates as well, something is so special about autumn here. And it's the perfect place to celebrate Halloween!

I'm glad the power is back on! I really hope you and your girlfriend can enjoy a picnic together like you planned! If not, I hope you can do something equally as nice and relax together :-)

That's so weird, because we had a power outage too. I live in the big city, so imagine rows of pitch black skyscrapers. It was incredibly surreal. It's a secure building, so you can't even get inside, up the stairs, into the garage, let alone up the elevator, without a key fob. I slept part of the night on a couch in the lobby. It was so dark and quiet. Sort of like being out in the country.
My power went out so I can only use cellular data on my phone, and who knows how quickly the cell service will get knocked out. I have two bars right now. So don’t freak out too much if you don’t hear from me until the morning. I will update as soon as I can.
Update: I guess no one was actually ordered to evacuate, my neighbors are just all leaving and they told us to evacuate as well. We are less than 200 yards from the coastline, to put this in perspective. There is a tropical storm warning for all of southeastern MA and the islands. I don’t know if we should leave or if we should just sleep in the living room tonight. But my parents are still awful

Sorry Luca thar you and family are going thru this.

    Stay calm.
They are evacuating my neighborhood because of Hurricane Lee, and my parents won’t even allow us to go to their house (they live inland.) Looks like we’re going to have to go to a friend’s house, or a hotel. My parents always stop short of truly caring, everything they do for me is performative (which is why I rarely discuss that can of worms.)
My girlfriend came home yesterday afternoon! We're so happy to be reunited. <3 We're going to have a picnic by the water for lunch and hopefully have a nice date tonight. I missed her more than I can even express in words and I hope we never have to be separated again.
This is what I got at the thrift shop in Boston/Cambridge yesterday

We got caught in a downpour so the raincoat (and umbrella which isn’t pictured) really came in handy!

That was a good find. Our thrift store gets lots of new things,( GWill). So l actually picked up a brand new work jacket for my daughter. Trendy, young cut. There were a bunch of nice leather jackets about a month ago.
