    OK, I am over last week’s depression now. Which had less to do with mental health and more to do with the flu. Thank you all for your support during that time.

    Roads are super icy outside. So are sidewalks. If it were not for that, I would walk to Taco Bell and get some bad Mexican food for dinner.

    After sleeping most of last week through the flu, it is now 4:36AM and I am wide awake.

    Well, if you wanted to, you could make a quick commute to my place for breakfast. I would advise doing that another day, though. You really do not want the bug I had in the past week.

    One of the goriest animes ever produced, yet absolutely none of it is gratuitous. Perhaps I should wait until I feel better before watching this animated gallery of tragedy. I do like that it comes from the POV of a family who objected to Japan’s involvement in WWII while it was happening, though.

    You can have "a spine", though, for lack of a better term. As always I say that the only thing stopping you is you. There's a line I heard recently that I think can apply to something like this, I'll tweak it a little: "The best time to have a spine was many years ago. The second best time is right now". There's gotta be a better phrasing than "have a spine" though. But you get the idea.

    Depression is a vicious beast. Regret is a vicious beast. I regret shutting down my film criticism website twelve years ago. It could have taken me somewhere by now if I had stuck with it.
