  • My mother interrupted my meditation.

Ohhh. So it was unintentional, on her part.
She didn't know what you were doing.

Maybe next time you want to meditate, you
might put your phone on silent.

Were you able to get back to meditating or did that end it for you?

My mother does that to me all the time when I try to meditate, pray, listen to music. Super annoying. I understand.
I haven’t been to a gym nor even have used home exercise equipment regularly for years now.

Maybe it’s time. My dog is the one thing that keeps me regularly exercising.
I am almost finished reading Weaveworld. Clive Barker is indeed a master of imagination.

That was the first of Barker's books that I read, many years ago. After that, I read everything of his I could get my hands on for a while. Then I tired of him. :) Fun while it lasted.

My middle school home room teacher had me suspended for reading his books in the period between classes - she was that offended by him. Heh, I don’t miss having her around now.

Also, as a closeted gay kid in the mid ‘90s, reading him speak of gay relations was a decent thing for me, even if perhaps it might have been too explicit for my age at the time.
I decided to swim in the backyard pool today. It beat the heat and I needed the exercise as well.

Sounds fun, it rained here and I got to drive home in the rainy, cool afternoon. Beating that heat is a must.
I am currently in Austin at the Empire Control Room club. I am there because Godflesh is playing tonight. I got one of their shirts but surprisingly there are no copies of their new album on sale. I was hoping to get one since the copy I attempted to get from Rough Trade wouldn’t ship out on time.
My younger brother and sister-in-law claim that it isn’t true that they don’t want me to have a girlfriend.
I feel like I am going to break down and cry.

It’s okay to cry. Usually it helps release very intense emotions. Here for you.

Same here I feel exactly the same and nothing is working.

If I can't cry, I'll listen to some sad songs. Or watch a "tearjerker" movie. I'll cry to those when I'm in a good mood. So if I let myself, I'll sob through the song or scene. And then feel better.
I told my younger brother and sister in-law I’ll never have a girlfriend nor children. I wonder if they’ll concur or dispute me.
I’m feeling hot more than ever. My younger brother and mother think I have become fully diabetic now.

@Aspychata I tend to crave certain flavors and sensations.

I also love my junk food. :) I allow myself one time a week for my biggest weakness, cheesesteaks. Is there a way to satisfy cravings with healthy alternatives?
    AdamG

Don't want to sound like nagging, I think you maybe don't have diabetes. But overweight is biggest risk for type 2.
How can I feel like I still have time to have a romantic relationship in my life?
    Rodafina
    Rodafina
Adapt your thinking. There is no finite timeframe for what you want.

I didn't meet my wife until my mid 40s. I had given up. Wasn't looking. It just happened. Anything is possible.

I am in my mid 40s and I feel like giving up but I still have hope even though all I meet are mostly taken women.
Am I too old to have a romantic relationship because I have little to no experience?
    Judge
    Judge
No. I've never thought that one's experience or lack thereof had much of anything to do with attraction. In the relationships I had with NT women, none of them ever asked me about my experience. It just never came up. Where what you do in real time is all that likely counts.

    "Don't ask; don't tell." ;)

I never had any romantic relationships because all the woman I encounter are already taken.
Do you encounter woman who are have boyfriends or are married in your daily encounters like I do?
    Markness
    Markness
Indeed I do. A lot of it is due to religious cultural expectations. Some cultures also have arranged marriages.
    Tony Ramirez
    Tony Ramirez
I see. I don't encounter any woman who married arranged. There husband luckily meet them while I am still single.
I really fear I will continue to be without a partner for the remainder of my life.

Same here. It's been recently keeping me up at night. Especially since I turn 46 tomorrow.
I wish I could get back the time I lost using Discord.

I only register to Discord to use it when my friend Justin drove from New York to California. Never used it again.
