With No Direction In Life

I don't know what am I really good at. I dabble in some drawing but my parents say they are hideous. I tried science but I struggle to sustain myself to understand science concepts better. I attempted in the humanities but I just do not write what the teachers wanted, in order for me to progress further.

Hmm, I have no real interest in anything, I have no spike in anything for now... Just wondering what are the free career tests I can do?

Haha. I haven't really did any music classes. Will give them a try --- but my parents, they seem kind of unhappy if I do music - they expect me to have more conventional careers like medicine or law. That's why I have no direction...

Not really. I am good in typing and writing but I ain't good in really making websites work. Thanks for the suggestion though. :D

Have you tried listing the things you are good at on pen and paper and have a good think about it and then come back with the lists you came up with.

Maybe that actually might help you find what you are good at.

You did say on another thread that you have a very good memory so you could try learn something that you are interested in and you will be able to still remember it.

I'm in Humanities (with a side of Science). I have the same problem as you, with not writing what profs want to hear... But this past year I started making a point of talking over my ideas with my profs and getting their feedback as I progress through writing papers. If you feel comfortable tell them you have AS, they're usually happy to help. I put a lot more time into my papers because I obsess over whether it sounds "natural". Really, the aesthetics of flow in a paper are a reflection of NT thought processes. It is painstaking for me to do but because I LOVE the subject material its totally worth it for me. My advice is to follow whatever fascinates you. For the most part the world is full of institutions that value NT ways of thinking and have no idea what to do with us. So yeah chances are you're going to have to deal with stuff like this no matter what you end up doing. We'll support you though!

Whatever you decide to do, good luck. I think too many people know what they want to do but don't bother pursuing it.

G. Your parents lived or failed to attain their dreams, don't live their lives. Cut yourself loose of the ties that bind. I think at your age it is time to figure out what you are capable of and where you want to go.
Have an adventure, take a risk, travel to broaden your horizons.
Oh, by the way I think Picasso works are hideous but others do not. Why not specialize in your unique hideous art in places you travel to and have adventures in. You have few competitors and that means you are a specialist.
