Sports are highly overrated.
My post wasn't directed at people who are unable to play sports, especially because of a disability. I'm sorry if it came off that way. I'm so sorry you had that experience with phys ed teachers, that is really awful. I don't get why people make kids do things that are harmful for them.Old post, but easy for me to respond to. The answer is not really autism related. I was born with Congentially Corrected Transposition of the Great Arteries (CCTGA) and am incidentally on pacemaker no. 5. My circulation goes through my heart backwards, which means I have less of it than normal humans. This also means I am not useful for highly aerobic activities. It is a hidden disability, which means other kids think you're useless or just lazy.
Phys-ed was the worst class I had to suffer through in grade school with r-word phys-ed teachers trying to continually force me to do things that were dangerous for me in sports I was not capable of participating in well, or at all. So, yes, I hate sport team sports. About the only thing I hate more than team sports are people who abuse children and then animals in that order. Next on the list is phys-ed teachers. Each group gets their own wood chipper.
Good answer?
