Who are your favourite classical composers ?

I'm not a big fan of classical. I know that all other music types came from classical, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. I don't hate it but definitely not my first choice. I do like it when I hear portions of pieces where it sounds like a waterfall that I can spot.

I consider G. F. Handel as the embodiment of musical perfection. Before listening to his works and familiarizing with his music I couldn't imagine that music can be so beautiful and so masterfully composed. Even now, when I listen for the first time to some Handel's composition I notice their absolute perfection that I couldn't even imagine before.
Some composers used complicated, sophisticated harmonies to achieve their effects. Handel evoked the feeling of supreme mastery with quite simple harmonies and very naturally flowing, intuitive melodies. Admiration, delight and respect are the emotions that Handel's music arouses in me.

This duetto always moves me

I also love Bach, and Vivaldi, Albinoni, and other Baroque composers. Other times I listen to: Mozart. Grieg. Chopin. Wm Byrd.
Nice selection! If I hadn't been so obsessed with Bach in my youth, I think I'd have turned to Vivaldi. Even these days...I just find Vivaldi so mystifying.
