What's it like to be with a group of Aspies?

I have not had any type of "therapy" in which I might be in a group of Aspies. I have been in a small group of Myers-Briggs ISTJs in a college class and we were given tasks to complete to see if like groups were more productive than mixed type groups. The outcome was that like groups of any type were actually less successful because working with different types brought a full spectrum of ideas. However, it was a blast being with only ISTJs because we agreed with each other. We could finish each other's sentences. I would like to meet with all Aspies and see what it is like to know we at least understand each other's behavior. I would love to find such a group somewhere between Syracuse and Rochester, NY.

It's not quite how you would expect it to be. It's nowhere near as intense as being in a group of all NT people, but it sure is something. In 8th grade I had a Communications class for all Autistic people, fairly small group, only 6 people. There were people like my best friend, who somehow managed to overcome his social awkwardness and is now a social butterfly, and there were people who were even more shy than I, and also people that had full on Autism, and could barely even speak. My teachers would always complement me every time I started a conversation with another student in the class, lol.
