What was the last movie you watched?

Well, like I said, it won't be everyone's cup of tea, but fans of the Japanese film series should definitely get a kick out of it.
 
I first saw that movie when I was six or seven. It scared me, but I loved it and I've been a Tim Burton fan ever since.
 
"The Monuments Men"

True story of art experts-turned-soldiers assigned to recover some five million priceless works of art stolen by the Nazis in World War Two. Worth seeing.
 
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode called "The Body." Yes, I know it's only a 45-minute television episode, but to me, it's as fine a work as any bit of cinema I've ever seen. It's all about the immediate aftermath of a sudden death and the various ways in which the characters react to it. The most realistic depiction of grief I've ever seen in any medium. I watched it last night, drunk, and cried like a baby.
 
Pacific Rim

Guillermo del Toro has done something of which I had no idea he was capable; namely, making a truly terrible film with almost no redeeming qualities. I don't know if everyone shares that sentiment, but I was thoroughly unimpressed (quite the understatement).
 
I have seen Godzilla too yesterday. Most others and critics say it's disappointingly mediocre but I disagree.
 
The new Casino Royale and I must say that it's a bit weird to see James Bond bumble and make a lot of stupid mistakes as well as lose at a card game and get tortured :| I know I sound like an angry obsessed fan but I'm more like an angry obsessed old school James Bond fan ...
 
I watched Angus, which is a comedy-drama from 1995

I love this opening :D I love how the high school marching band compliments the opening song lol

Really gotta agree to disagree there Wyv. I'd say that the closest thing to a bad film GDT has made is Mimic, which was a troubled production (among other things, GDT's father was kidnapped and held for ransom in Mexico while the film was shooting, GDT later described that as a less painful experience than the production interference with his film because with the kidnapping, at least there were some rules), but even that one has its interesting qualities (a new director's cut came out recently that doesn't transform the movie into a masterpiece but does fix a few problems). Funnily enough, when it came out in 1997, I had an English teacher who thought it was Ed Wood-level terrible; I wasn't especially discerning about movies as a teenager, but even then I had to strongly disagree.

GDT's next film may be more to your liking Wyv, it's a gothic haunted house/romance type movie called Crimson Peak that just finished shooting.

While we're on the subject, this is a book I would highly recommend to GDT fans, it really shows the sheer level of passion that goes into everything he makes, even his more mainstream Hollywood productions (I'm very envious of the amazing "man cave" called Bleak House that he has!):

Die Hard 2: Die Harder XD

This movie is cheesier than hell but I still enjoy lol

We don't need police officers when we have JOHN McCLANE! He's the only police officer who could have multiple life threatening injuries but not die and he's the only officer who really knows what he's doing :P
 
Last night I watched a film called 'Adam'. It's about a guy with aspergers. To be honest I didn't enjoy it, I think it lacked a strong storyline and failed to explore Adam's personality.
Or...maybe I just saw aspects of myself in the 'female form', and it made me feel uncomfortable? I'm going to watch it again tonight.
