what song describes you or resembles you the most?

thegamerchunk1

Learning.
This is simple, put a song down and explains (or not) how and why it describes you (you can list a bunch of them if you want)

Bruce Springsteen - Racing In The Street (live in Houston 1978)

When this was released in 1978,I was a skinny 18 year old street racer who drove a '69 SS 396 Chevy El Camino with a Hurst shifter on the floor. The artistic license that Bruce used in the song is a misnomer as the only Chevy fuelie heads available at the time were only offered on the small block 327 and 283 engines in the mechanically injected Corvettes and the tune is about a big block :p

I have been racing on the streets since I was 16,so this song describes me well.

Psychedelic Furs- Shadow in my heart: I heard it the other day at CVS. It was off their Midnight to Midnight album. I think the song describes me because I feel incomplete, like there is a "Shadow" in my heart. I wish I had a girlfriend.

First my life as a teenager actually I used to listen to this song over and over

This is the song that carried me through when I decided to really change my life

And finally one that kind of fits my life now

I love this song, because the man singing accepts the melancholy bits of his girl. This is what I wish someone would write about me, so in that sense I think it represents me :)

Ladybug by Emezie Okorafor.
This Ladybug woman is everything I hope to be. Strong. Brave. Independent. Happy. Flibbertigibbet-y.:DMost importantly, herself! :)
It might not describe me as I am now as well as i wish it would, but there's no rushing these things.

He's an animator as well as a musician; he has an action/drama/comedy series called Porkchop 'n' Flatscreen. It's got a fair amount of juvenile humor but that doesn't mean it doesn't have an interesting story!

The doors people are strange has been my favorite song since I was a child, ironic that I knew I was strange and expressed it by loving that song. If I only knew then what I know know things could have gone differently for me.

Also Blind Melon "No Rain"
(In the video a girl dressed as a bumble Bee seems lost and out of place roaming around town, she eventually opens a gate to a field where other people wearing Bee outfits are dancing and suddenly she fits in somewhere. I not only related to her, my sister's boyfriend told me that I was exactly like her. I didn't know the significance of that comment then.)
Lyrics-
All I can say
Is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin' the puddles gather rain
And all I can do
Is just pour some tea for two
And speak my point of view
But it's not sane,
It's not sane

I just want some one to say to me,
"I'll always be there when you wake."
You know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and I'll have it made

And I don't understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain
That there's no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away,
But it's a great escape
Escape... escape... escape...

All I can say
Is that my life is pretty plain
You don't like my point of view
You think that I'm insane
It's not sane... it's not sane.

I just want some one to say to me,
"I'll always be there when you wake."
You know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and I'll have it made

And I'll have it made
And I'll have it made
And I'll have it made oh no no no
You know I'm really gonna
Really gonna
Have it made
And I'll have it made
Ah ah ah ah, ah ah ah ah, ah ah ah ah

Expectations by Belle and Sebastian, doesn't really describe me now but is pretty much spot on about my school experiences. Sadly had that almost exact same lunch tray incident, got called 'tight' and frigid, didn't make lifesize models of the velvet underground in clay but did make head sculptures of my classmates when we had a great art teacher one year who didn't dictate an exact project to us, something that got me labelled as weird even more. I also got permission to stay in a safe place but then was kicked out by teachers unaware of this and they came out with the exact same line about how I think I am better than the others.

"Expectations"

Monday morning wake up knowing that you've got to go to school
Tell your mum what to expect, she says it's right out of the blue
Do you want to work in Debenham's, because that's what they expect
Start in Lingerie, and Doris is your supervisor

And the head said that you always were a queer one from the start
For careers you say you went to be remembered for your art
Your obsession gets you known throughout the school for being strange
Making life-size models of the Velvet Underground in clay

In the queue for lunch they take the piss, you've got no appetite
And the rumour is you never go with boys and you are tight
So they jab you with a fork, you drop the tray and go berserk
While your cleaning up the mess the teacher's looking up your skirt

Hey, you've been used
Are you calm? Settle down
Write a song, I'll sing along
Soon you will know that you are sane
You're on top of the world again

Monday morning wake up knowing that you've got to go to school
Tell your mum what to expect, she says it's right out of the blue
Do you went to work in C&A, 'cause that's what they expect
Move to laundry and take a feel off Joe the Storeman

Tell Veronica the secret of the boy you never kissed
She's got everything to gain 'cause she's a fat girl with a lisp
She sticks up for you when you get aggravation from the snobs
'Cause you can't afford a blazer girl you're always wearing clogs

At the interval you lock yourself away inside a room
Head of English gets you, asks you, "What the Hell do you think you're doing?"
"Do you think you're better then the other kids? Well get outside."
You've got permission, but you've got to make the bastard think he's right

Hey, you've been used
Write a song, I'll sing along
Are you calm? Settle down
Soon you will know that you are sane
You're on top of the world again

And you cool and you know
You're a star and you'll go far
Listen to me as a friend
Not just a boy who play guitar
You're on top of the world again

I too, listened to this slipknot song on a loop. I have a very fond memory of flipping out mosh style in a big rain storm to this song with a few of my friends as a teen. We had a lot of fun. [emoji38]

This I related to as a teen being the only openly bi girl in my grade, I saw souls, I feel in love with those, love had no lines for me.

A winter's day
In a deep and dark December;
I am alone,
Gazing from my window to the streets below
On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow.
I am a rock,
I am an island.

I've built walls,
A fortress deep and mighty,
That none may penetrate.
I have no need of friendship; friendship causes pain.
It's laughter and it's loving I disdain.
I am a rock,
I am an island.

Don't talk of love,
But I've heard the words before;
It's sleeping in my memory.
I won't disturb the slumber of feelings that have died.
If I never loved I never would have cried.
I am a rock,
I am an island.

I have my books
And my poetry to protect me;
I am shielded in my armor,
Hiding in my room, safe within my womb.
I touch no one and no one touches me.
I am a rock,
I am an island.

And a rock feels no pain;
And an island never cries.

Thankfully I can do the video links now, this is me. If you ever need to know who I am refer back to this video. The wanderer, never fitting in, completely in my own world, and only seeming to bond with older people. [emoji219]

I see now that I related to the fact that they were dropped onto a strange planet, something that I probably didn't know how to express, I just thought that I loved this video for its unusual artistic view. Smashing Pumpkins-tonight-
