What song are you listening to right now?

I love anything by Erik Satie too. I have to close my eyes to listen to his music. Oh he's truly magic!...just like falling into a weird but wonderful dream.

Ooh, a new name! Will have to look up!

Here's a good one for meditative reflection. It's been used sooo many times. I've lost count of the tv editors who slip it into the 'back of the mix'

Oh God yes! (Peter Gabriel) Late at night, laying in a dimly lit room. It literally transports me into an entirely different world.

And I don't want the world to see me, cos I don't think that they'd understand...
Everything's made to be broken, I just want you to know who I am

I actually own the 7-inch from which this B-side comes, which came with the package when I pre-ordered Bottoms of Barrels (in case you're wondering just how much of a child of the oughts Indie generation I am :P )

Ok I'm in danger of flooding this thread... Last one. For me THE BEST COVER VERSION OF A SONG EVER DONE.

This simply gives me shivers everytime.

(Sorry, couldn't find one without cheesy graphics - Turn off your monitor and just immerse yourself)

I realize this opinion puts me in a huge minority, but Tommy was an AWESOME film.

The Who w/ Elton John
"Pinball Wizard"

I liked Tommy, I had the soundtrack on cassette back in the day!
In college I had a friend who had the film soundtrack on LP and we listened to it on a vintage "all-in-one" portable record player. It wasn't until a couple of years later that I saw the actual film. At one point I had a performance of the rock opera with the London Symphony on LP but I can't seem to find it lately! :(
