What sites have you been banned from?

I have not been banned from any site as far as I know. I have left one or two sites of my own accord for various reasons.

I was once reported for truancy from school when I was well into my 20's (I left school at 16). I didn't even used to go to the school the lady reported me to!

Yeah, but sometimes a ban isn't remotely fair. Quite often, moderators just muck around, play favourites, and all that, especially if some bozo has been on a site longer than you have.

But there's a lot of root beer and fast food guzzling losers and pretentious types online. In the real world, they probably don't get many folk giving them the time of day.

Only one IRC channel for those of you who can recall them so many years ago. I was even an operator (mod). Apparently the owner of the site didn't like the attention I was getting and he abruptly banned me. Seemed more of a personal ego issue for him. Though it was always his prerogative to ban me.

Though some years back there was a website forum that I felt compelled to exit on my own given widespread hostility towards me. At the height of a neurological gap between myself and NTs that at the time I didn't understand.

In hindsight it did illuminate how problematic and painful it can be to project one's autistic traits and behaviors amongst a group of NTs. At least I eventually came to understand the what and why of it all. An experience that may well have allowed me to better come to terms with my autism, a short time later despite so much initial denial. Circa 2013. Better late than never!

I did stupid stuff here, and @tree kindly pointed out my faulty thinking, and l am grateful to tree. I would have missed out on so much great content here. Shout out to tree.

I banned myself for a bit. Does that count?

I promise I learned stuffs and things that made me kinda sorta better..?

Ya can't be too bad to quote Michael Palin.

I was banned on NeoGAF a few years ago. It's one of the few recent bans I guess you could call it, that bothered me more, as that forum is actually really active. So not being on it any more is a load of meh. The layout is better than GameFAQs, which is very active too.

Unfortunately, GameFAQs has a reputation for trolling, and people generally start a slagging match that can derail the flow of a thread midway into it. Also, they often accuse newbies of being someone's new alt.

Banned when I was on the MMO game animal jam for scamming others because I wanted free items. I was around nine or ten. The ban lasted for three days.

FB warning for calling someone a “potato”

The Pokémasters forums with an old account for reasons I don’t know why. I was able to make another account which worked out anyway as the banned account wasn’t used for years before I tried logging in again. The mods were fine with it because I never caused any problems to begin with and it wasn’t like I was trying to evade a warranted ban. This forum is virtually dead at this point now.

The Autism Friends Network forum- I think this was only because the site was getting used less by members and constantly hit by spambots. The site is no longer active which is why I joined this site to discuss autistic matters. I’m not bitter at being randomly banned as the spambots were becoming a massive problem and very few people were actually posting legit things.

First thing that makes me think serebii may have snobby users is the first thing I see when I go to the forums is a whole political thread..
I use Serebii all the time and I don’t have any issues. Pokémasters wasn’t bad. It’s just inactive now. What’s interesting is that the original voice actress of Meowth was a member there.

And why?

A Bravenet forum for spamming it because I didn't like the owner.

Zomgaspies because there was a spammer there and few others and the mods did the bannings and accidentally put in my IP address. But that got fixed when I asked them why I was banned.

Some politic forum because my online friend used my account to troll and he took my WP posts and posted them there but I didn't really care that I was banned because I didn't care for the place.

WP for posting two topics in the adult section as likedcalico and I was silent banned as Spokane Girl for ranting at I2 about my issues I had with one of the mods at WP.
I got banned from some sims inside of Second Life because of my meltdowns. There is no solution unless my autism is healed.
