We aspies love routines and patterns. What foods do you eat every single day as an aspie?

Every morning, regardless of the meal, I always have eggs with my breakfast.

And with that breakfast I usually have two cups of black tea. Each cup of tea is made with exactly three tea bags steeped. Then three sweet and lows are stirred in, and whole milk is poured on top.

Almost every day I eat a tuna sandwich late in the afternoon.

I drink iced calendula or hibiscus tea every night at bedtime.

Those sound like good routines to have.

I usually have one constant in my diet and it is just strong coffee, no sugar or cream. Black as my soul and almost as bitter (just kidding.) If there was any other constant it would be that I almost always cook with onions as a way to get Vitamin C into my diet.

Hibiscus tea is very good but those don't keep well here as I will end up drinking it all.

I might have a disordered or unhealthy relationship with food, which is not good but will have to be dealt with. As a result it is quite difficult to keep food on the table as I will sit in the kitchen looking at it and think I have no idea what to do with this.

Bacon with breakfast. I know, not good. Just love the taste. Also, Orange juice with breakfast every day.
I always loved a coffee at breakfast too. Now my sensitive stomach won't allow it.
I do miss coffee.

A Bialy for a bedtime snack every night.

I had been eating a half can of Campbells chili for lunch every day until this nephrologist told me to reduce sodium intake in general. Kind of stinks because it’s been one of my last comfort foods trying to stick to a low carb diet. With everything I just can not stomach in spite of trying, it feels like there’s not much left for options for me in trying to do both now…feels like I either have to choose between kidney stones or a heart attack.

Apparently coffee being a diuretic is not good for these potassium citrate meds I’ve been put on recently (I forgot the reason why) but I refuse to go without. Instant isn’t worth it but I tend to either put a pot on in the morning or evening depending on how I’m feeling. Liked these cold brew ones for a bit so I didn’t have to make my own ice coffee but trying to cut back a little but at least.

If I am at home, every morning I make ellinikos kafes / türk kahvesi. If I am away from home I often have to resort to a doppio.
The other thing I have every morning is greek yogurt. When I am travelling I will often seek out small containers of this from supermarkets, one for each morning.

This was one of the many things that tipped me off to being autistic... repetitive foods is my trademark in our family.

Every day without fail, breakfast is a cooked museli (quick oats, almonds, raisins, flax, some kind of fruit).

Lunch is a little more varied, but 5 out of 7 days it's "illegal rice" after my Japanese tutor called it that (rice, tsukudani, kimchi, some kind of protein like egg or tofu).

Every day, herbal tea and a biscuit at as close to 2 PM as I can manage given my work.

Coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon. The coffee usually has milk and sugar. The tea has sugar or honey and milk if it's English Breakfast or Earl Grey, but only sugar or honey if it is a herbal or fruit tea. I don't really have set foods every day. I have whatever gets prepared and a bit of variety in the diet is actually nice.

Anything Mexican. :)

Mondays can be tragic. Waiting those long 24 hours to Taco Tuesday.

Yet somehow I manage to make Taco Tuesday happen usually at least three times week. My bad.

It’s hard to control things all the time, with all the variables involved in living, especially as an adolescent. However, I have found that I really love apple sauce. The goopy texture, the sweet taste, and the nostalgic smell. Many people find it strange, my seeming addiction to applesauce, even apples in general. But it’s soothing. ☺️

Coffee, protein yogurt, protein cereal. If l could eat salsa and avocados everyday, l definitely would. Eggs, poached, easy over, sunny side up, scrambled, hard boiled, omelet style, devil egg style too. Dried walnuts ,and dried cranberries. Lately, l have been on a cheese kick almost daily.

Nearly every single day, we have "magic ramen" for one of the meals. It saves so much time and money.

Each person gets a quart sized pyrex bowl.

*crumble a packet of dry ramen into the bottom of each bowl. sprinkle powder on top.

* on top of that add a little bit of corn and peas

* on top of that scoop in a little bit of chopped up meat from last night's dinner

* pour boiling water on top to submerge it all

* cover the pyrex bowls tightly with pyrex lids

* set timer for 13 minutes exactly

* when the timer beeps, fry an egg for each bowl, sunny side up.

* open up the lids, stir the ingredients around, and put an egg on top of each, kinda breaking up the egg and stirring it around, so it's like egg flower soup.

* if desired, add a few drops of hot sauce and soy sauce on top (I use Tapatio and Red Boat Fish Sauce).

It's so good.

We also eat a lot of rice. I think almost every single night it is the base for our dinner. My daughter loves rice with an aspie passion.

And I do eat meat with every single meal, without fail. And meat for most snacks too. Unless it's dessert.
