Hi everyone. I found this site ironically through an Android app, but I'm pretty sure the sign up form on it is broken.

So about me -
I'm 24, diagnosed in the December of 2013. A few years prior to that I first came across the wiki article describing AS and from there it gradually led me to seek a diagnosis. I definitely exhibit pretty much all the stereotypical traits - e.g. I have a collection of over 400 ebooks mostly on neuroscience/ASDs (special interest), I go on road trips with a GPS device, DSLR camera, and laser rangefinder to later report the data on sites like monumentaltrees and gpsies. I'm part of a local Aspie group for young adults which I truly love and find really helpful.

I have a tendency to get overwhelmed very easily, not just around people, but anything that "moves" too quickly. I've sometimes referred to myself as mid-functioning because of that.

But anyways, I've been lonely lately, and I feel like I've lost a lot of friends that I used to be close with. I love chatting online and stuff so I'm hoping to make some new friends here!

I'm sure you will find many here who share your experience and passions. Welcome and good luck!:)

Welcome aboard :)
This is a friendly and caring community, I hope you enjoy it!

Welcome! I think I was around your age when I first got my diagnosis really explained to me (though I was diagnosed at 16). Don't worry...we're a friendly bunch. :)
