Hi!
My name is Soup. A few yrs ago I took an online A.S. test & scored 43. I took a similar one last yr & scored 41. I took another yesterday & scored 42. I'm looking to get formally tested & diagnosed asap but I'm unsure how to proceed. Autistic people & A.S. people recognize me as being like them.
I like reading, drawing & colouring, writing, words (etymology), my dog, psychology, extremely rare diseases, knowing scraps of information most people find useless. If an aspect of one of my interests, captures my focus, I can vanish inside of this interest to the exclusion of virtually anything else. I don't mean to imply that I literally disappear; I just become inaccessible.
Many A.S. people have a look to them: a peculiar way of dressing, for instance or that classic awkward nerdy look. I managed to fly under society's radar since I'm what society considers to be an attractive woman but I have the A.S. look in my eyes other A.S. people recognize immediately.
I like a narrow range of foods, prepared in a narrow range of ways. I don't like to be in photographs. I don't socialize with others unless I have to but I've become a good mimic & can pass for normal. I find doing so to be exhausting, draining, boring & seldom worth the effort.
