RCPQ is an absent Southernism--"Read the cotton-pickin' question."

"Press Lots of Keys to Abort." Someone's on an HP--you press enough keys and you can crash any program. Sometimes it seems like it happens when I've got Microsoft Word pulled up.

Forgot TTFN (Ta-ta for now) as spoken on BBC Radio's It's That Man Again, or ITMA. The "That Man" referred to Adolf Hitler whom the British public were getting tired of hearing about. A fun radio program that is hard to find copies of today.

DILLIGAD-- I loved that one. Dilligad's Island would be a perfect show for the rebelliously indifferent.

The variation on "WDALYIC" I've always heard was "Who died and made you king?" I never bothered abbreviating as invective is best served grammatically (if not socially) correct. Not politically correct either; since the first World War we've been moving more & more towards democracies and oligarchies world wide, but the concept of "King" will always be around to denote the haughty (and name hunting dogs.)

I do too, but in here there are a number of people for whom these abbreviations are second nature; but I do not speak that language so that is why I posted.

I don't like abbreviations either. Abbreviations remind me of corporate speak. My mom talks about "benny's" and imagine a restaurant. She "interfaces" and considers people "out of pocket". I much prefer conversations and "out of pocket" sounds like code for runaway slave.
