Here that's compounded by the fact that they're seen as a fashion statement rather than sports wear, you don't spend all day in the Aussie sun wearing a hat that's going to let your ears get burnt.
Big floods up the top end at the moment, there's people that were evacuated due to a cyclone over a month ago but the rains haven't let up and they still can't get back home. Now there's another cyclone running right the way across the entire north coast and bringing more heavy rain.Reminding me of a video I saw recently about Australia's smaller communities all across the continent, and how extreme the weather and climate can get. Classic things tourists probably don't give much thought to.![]()
