The ch4 Program about Autism last night

Thats standard tablet similad imwpould for I would.
M is space
P is o.
Thank you. I think we really should compile a similad/similass conversion table... Another idea for a list :) Or a database, or even a whole dictionary :)

Edit: actually, I'd noticed the p=o on other occasions, it's the m that fooled me this time round.

M is also so,etimes n
And m a comma as similadded above.

I would have swept everytning of the table,
Upturned the table,screamed
NO MORE SANDWICHES
and left never to be found again...

Phew, bit of a relief to read I'm not alone.

My response would have been very similar to yours - I'd shove all the sandwich stuff together, dump it in the bin and shout 'right, no one gets an effing sandwich'.

Job done.

1st day : watched a bit of it.
My wife say youre not autistic.

2nd day :
She says 'I'm more like that than you.

The experiment of making sandwiches :

My take is usually - everyone knows its a test, therefore it's invalid.

But, she finally saw it in me..

She kind of knows I would have swept everytning of the table,
Upturned the table,screamed
NO MORE SANDWICHES
and left never to be found again...

Working from home, it was kind of how I got whenever an equivalent of the sandwich situation came up.

Been working on my 'sandwich situations' for some years... and the reaction is mostly internal.

But we were able to have a discussion about it.
She has taken umbrage at so many things,
I was empathising,she thought I was criticising..
Hopefully she widens the realisation from here!

And if she says 'does my hair look nice?
I DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR STUPID HAIR.

Is not the right answer :)

WAIT... what's the sandwich experiment? Where can I see this show?

I ask because someone who knew I was autistic before I did always found my precise sandwich engineering amusing......

Sorry no, that's why I didn't understand it. What happened in the sandwich experiment?

Requirements :
Two people to watch and commentate whilst watching experiment on screen.
1 lab bod to be in the room witha clipboard.
3 tables
A telephone
Sandwich making materials and equipment.
1 potential autistic person

The experiment :
You have ten minutes to make some sandwiches.
(Think you can handle that autistic loser person)

Sandwiches are nearly done.
The phone rings.
We don't want those sandwiches anymore....
Autistic person gets flustered, makes new sandwiches.

People commentating on the other side of the screen..
'That guy fridge lost his sh*t big time'
It was only a couple of sandwiches...

Well similar thing for the person who actually was there.
They represented it as being resistant to change, executive function problem.
And a test that an autistic person would more likely struggle with.

One way to perhaps get the program.
Use a vpn.
Go to channel4 website and see if it's on there.

Yes, that would have made me mad. Sounds like a horrible thing to do to a person :(
What is the name of the programme?

have you got any idea how I could make the iPad tell the Channel 4 website that I'm in the UK , it won't show the Channel 4 site ? thanks

I think it's called mild high functioning autism ,the psychologist never said that! but I said is it Aspergers syndrome ?they said no it's not ,no because people get the idea that if you have A.S you must be a savant and your life is really easy, we want to scotch that rumour .

I did not know that is the general opinion about Asperger's Syndrome in the UK. People think that if you have AS, that you are a savant and your life is easy? People have assumed a lot of things about me because I have AS, but that was not one of them. I guess that people are ignorant about us on both sides of the pond.
