Hmmmm, 1 item to make world domination possible....... Only one? Well I have to go with a 50 gigaton hyperthermatic fusion detonation device then, big enough that if I set it off the only thing left of the planet is a cloud of dust that used to have a moon in orbit but the shockwave sent said moon off into the great unknown.
 
The ability to remember not to explain the Plan to your arch-nemesis when you've captured him, or leave him alone in the Death Ray room.. just kill him now!.. Now!! Mwahahaha..
 
A proper choice of hat, nobody would take you seriously if you tried to take over the world in a propeller cap or a sombrero!
