Great to see other writers here, and I'm really happy you have received good feedback on your books and were able to publish!!
Haven't officially published anything, but I've written a few novels-
The Mirror Image series, which is a series of about 35 short stories about identical twin sisters who are polar opposites, and it's sort of a YA "coming of age" series, but mostly humorous, and the characters do a lot of growth and become better versions of themselves as the story goes on over the span of about 10 years. Lighthearted and funny stories that feature a lot of typical sibling bickering, but also a lot of sweet moments and fun adventures.
Power Play, which is an underdog-to-champion sports novel, about a recreational hockey team who goes from dead last in the standings to winning the championship. Different chapters focus on different characters. Unlike a lot of hockey novels, it's not romance-driven, and there are a ton of (realistic) hockey scenes. Has kind of a "found family" theme. Diverse cast of characters, including the secondary protagonist being a mixed race female hockey player, and the team being co-ed (like mine irl), and a few of the characters being LGBTQ+.
I've just started outlining the sequel, Overtime, which is a follow-up on the main character of the first novel, and his struggle to decide if he should retire to be with his husband, or keep playing until he's in his mid-30s. Does feature a marriage that's kind of part of the plot, but again, not primarily a romance. Don't want to give too much away yet, though.
The main character is a goalie, and he's based on my irl best friend/teammate, and another character is based on my husband, and has just as much of a smart mouth, lol. The characters are all original though, there are no "cameos" by real NHL players or anything.
Could probably share the first series on this site, not the second one as it's not PG-13 and there is a lot of "language." There is no real sexual content but it features some upsetting injuries and a lot of diabolical smack-talking. It is hockey, after all.
I started writing when I was very young, but gave up on it when I was in college due to severe burnout and a writer's block that seemed to last forever. Picked it back up in 2024 with the first series I wrote and realized how much I actually love it.
I'll probably publish all of these eventually, with the second two books I just mentioned planned to be part of a series as well. May have to make some tweaks to the titles if there are already such titles in existence, but overall I'm so happy with the final drafts and I re-read them myself all the time, and have gotten great feedback on them! Everyone who has read them loved them!
