Ah. Chatgpt has explained that the Amazon rules are that a person writing a review must have spent $50 in the past year to be able to leave a review on a book. It said many people who do not use Amazon often will find their review does not go forward to the site. This seems unfair because people have actually bought a book. I am a little exasperated now. You would think they would want reviews and thereby sell more books. If you have not been trapped by this rule then I don't know why the U.S. Amazon is behaving so strangely. Sorry, WhitewaterWoman. There is something very strange going on but I cannot find any means to fix it.
I’ve certainly spent $50 in the past year on books. Maybe I’ll look into it on my end. How frustrating!
