Shinto

In my ongoing study of different religions and spiritualities, I would like to read a few good books about Shinto to broaden my knowledge there. Does anyone in here have some recommendations of that?

You want the Kojiki text for the most part, and like many core religious texts, there are versions per better understanding. Japanese is a tough language to always translate exact, though, so I'm sure some versions have misprints by accident. The slightest inflection or marking in their language can change a word / intent entirely.
