I'm not a big fan except for Fish and Chips. And there's a caveat with that too - I only like shops that wrap up the fish and chips in paper as it was traditionally. I also have little care for tradition but wrapping them in paper was far more practical.

Part of the fun of fish and chips was to buy them on a freezing cold day, you can shove the wrapped package down the front of your shirt to warm you up, make a tear in the top of the wrapping so you can eat from the package as you walk along the beach or through a park. You can't do that with stupid little cardboard boxes.

I love fish fillets, salmon, tuna, shrimp. Also lobster, crab, scallops. And fish from the lakes and streams like trout, bass, bluegill.

However now I can only eat fish that falls apart easily. Shrimp was my favorite but that's out. So I mostly choose frozen salmon fillets. And other fish that people catch if they're sharing.

Love shrimp and fish and chips. Though I seldom have either...

About a million years ago we used to love to eat fried clams at Howard Johnson's.

I ate a delicious grouper sandwich on Easter Sunday. Florida is a hotbed for all kinds of fish. We tried Mr & Mrs Crab, which brought out your choice in number of crab legs seasoned. And most places serve key lime pie. The key limes are very small compared to a regular lime. A few places here are know for their fresh fish catch of the day at market price.

I checked 5 of them. Many of the others, I have never tried and have no way of knowing if I like them or not as of this time.

I have a serious allergy to any form of mollusc (snails, clams, oysters, scallops, squid, octopus, etc). Just the smell makes me feel ill, dizzy, and ready to pass out. Lobster, crabs, and shrimp I can eat in small amounts. Obviously, I have to be careful about where and what I eat. Sometimes these things are hidden or they use pots after something I can't eat was cooked in them. I can eat and like all manner of fish. I have even eaten a Ceviche Tiburon cocktail.

I like spicy shrimp stew, as well as deep fried calamari, and oven baked fish with different types of sauces.

You can get conch soup in Florida, too. I'm jealous!

I like to cook whole fish, not fillets unless it is fried fish fillets. Meat is always sweeter and tastier if it is cooked on the bone.

I don't care for farmed salmon or any kind of farmed fish except oysters. Farmed salmon tastes bland and fatty compared with wild caught salmon.

My favorite cold-water fish is halibut. I like fish and chips made with halibut but cod is good, too. I love sardines, preferably Norwegian or Portuguese. I've never had turbot which is supposed to be one of the best tasting saltwater fishes.

One of these days I'd like to try bacalao, dried salted cod that has to be soaked in water several days to remove salt before you cook it.

My goofy self read 'Halibut' as 'Hailbutt'. lol

Sea food is fishy good ol' time. So many good catches on that reel... okay I'll stop.

But seriously. I'm a fan of sea food. It's hard to keep me away from salmon and tuna specifically. I am a absolute freak for those. I've also got a serious taste for cropi(if that's how you spell it).

I just can't do raw oysters. The texture makes it impossible for me. I bit a raw oyster in half once, too. It was immediate "Nope."

I'm otherwise all about seafood. Scallops and Gator can be added to the list, even. Love me some cajun food, so add crawdads, as well (crayfish to some).

I really enjoy much of the freshwater fish we get in the Great Lakes. This week the Port City Smokehouse in Frankfort, MI, will open for the season. I really like to get their Yellow Perch and Walleye fillets that my spouse makes with a beer batter tempura. Sometimes I will pick up smoked Lake Trout and flake it in a Penne Fra Diavolo. We will ride our trikes into town and stop at the Port City Smokehouse to pick up Lobster Rolls (good, but not quite as perfect as New England Lobster Rolls) that we will take to the beach and relax with the treat.

One great trip I had with friends was when we stayed at a fishing lodge in Alaska's Icy Strait, near Glacier Bay. A friend and I were fishing every day. We caught lots of Salmon, but I enjoyed catching Halibut. I did not get a big one, the largest was only 40 lbs. Plus, we put out crab traps and retrieved 15 Dungeness and had a feast. Having absolutely fresh seafood is a real treat.

I do like Ceviche! Fish marinated in lemon and lime juice then put into a salsa. I like it Mexican style in a chunky salsa, though the Ecuadorian dish is soupier and is served with popcorn. It's all good.

Not a huge fan, personally. Occasionally I'll eat salmon or fish and chips. I had California rolls the other day, but those weren't made of fish, it was imitation crab meat. Just don't really like it.

For centuries, Europeans sailed all the way to the Grand Banks of Eastern Canada to fish, because even with the voyage, it was the fastest way to bring home a full hold. You could just scoop them up with a landing net. Then the demand went up with human population, and the Cod were fished right out. Eight billion people can't treat the world the way one billion did, so I stopped eating fish the year after I quit red meat, over fifty years ago. I don't miss them one bit.

Don't judge my plate technique, but Aldi had cold water lobster (2) for 12.99, so l served that with bay scallops and rice,. Yes, everything ran into each other, l know that will upset half of the forum. Lol

All seafood, shellfish and freshwater fish except for Sushi and Oysters.
Had grilled fish street tacos for lunch today. A nearby restaurant serves them on two for Tuesdays, so I eat them most every week.
Mahi and Orange Roughy are two favorites that are hard to find even here in Florida.

Yes, we have conch fritters, crayfish, and gator bites too. All good. 🦞
