This thread is all about appreciating one of the greatest anime minds of all time - Satoshi Kon!

During his career, I believe he created nothing but greatness. Not a single misstep.

Does anybody else here love his work and wish he was still alive to make more of it?

I've only seen Tokyo Godfathers and Paprika regarding his works.
As for my personal opinion, the artwork for them in the anime was great but I just couldn't get into them.

Hardest poll you've made, easily. I absolutely agree with no misstep, though Tokyo Godfathers and Millenium Actress are a bit more infinitely rewatchable than the others.

Since it isn't mentioned here, both the manga by Kon as well as the live action adaptation by Katsuhiro Otomo(!!!) of World Apartment Horror are great fun and often overlooked by Kon fans.

I also feel that no Kon thread is complete without a mention of Susumu Hirasawa's soundtrack work. He is a sizable piece of the soul of many of the movies as well as Paranoia Agent.

I loved Paprika and Millennium Actress the best! I love the atmosphere and the music in his movies.
