Riddles

Sorry for the delayed response, I just saw your question.

Wouldn't that depend on what you needed it for ?🤔

Well both would hold up both sides of the roof, making both sides unite at the peak. Without it, the tent or roof collapses.

How about the "both sides unite" part? Does that also mean physical objects?

Sorry, I actually thought the comment was on a different thread. I was trying to catch up on reading comments and didn't really look to see which thread the comments were on. When I saw the wording, I thought it was the "this or that " thread. 🤦🏼‍♀️

@tlc 🏆 I'll go ahead and give it to you because your answer fits all the criteria ( even the criteria in the clue.) The answer I had in mind was a jacket zipper.

That makes sense, it was simple. And here I use my jacket zipper everyday. My idea of things falling apart was more catastrophic. Other answers I was thinking of were a network, or a telephone line, or a bridge. Or a fence, if there's any truth to "good fences make good neighbors".

I have potential to move hands or to help light shine near me.
Of tomatoes or even potatoes I partially comprised can be.
What am I ?

Is it a battery (or electricity) ?

Moves the hands on a clock.
Lights up a lamp or flashlight.
From your other thread, I remember Macgyver had a potato battery in his houseboat, and I see that tomatoes can do the same thing.

You do your research 😅

At first I kept thinking the sun. Fits everything else, makes your hands want to move and shield your eyes, and ends up in tomatoes and potatoes as they grow. But it doesn't exactly HELP light shine near me, it IS the light.

BTW MacGyver was my hero as a kid. I even tried for his haircut.

I used to carry duct tape, a Swiss army knife , and a paper clip most of the time. Due to the MacGyver quote where he said "never leave home without it" referring to duct tape, I would hide a small piece of duct tape inside the pocket on my Bible cover when we went to church and I had to wear a dress (therefore didn't have the pants pockets for carrying the flattened roll of tape in) just so if anyone ever asked me about my duct tape I could quote "never leave home without it.)😅 Am I autistic or what.

My mother, at the request of her sister, once asked me if I had access to an electric plug that she could have for some project. I responded by reaching into my pocket and handing one to her. It was coincidental that I had it, but me keeping random stuff in my pockets has been going on forever. I once walked around with a packaged cookie for months, only throwing it out for religious reasons at Passover.

@tlc Well, since the vote is in favor of riddles being ok, it's your turn.😅

I am a plant, yet some animal has me.
Some say that I make great bread and coffee.
What am I ?
