Just curious as to who else works remotely?

This is my remote rig I use in my travel trailer. I'm camping next to a lake today.

Nice! I’m an IT guy and I sometimes work remotely. I will remote into a customer’s system if it is more convenient than visiting them in person or have them drop their stuff off in person, or if they’re in another part of the country. I don’t get to do it from a nice location though, just my desk in my house. Although, I guess I could take a laptop to a nice scenic location a few miles away and remote in from there!

I wanted to do remote work before, but it's not practical considering that an actual computer is not allowed in the house. Also, we can't afford it now with fewer income sources in the household. I thought I might become a graphic designer or something, but that was mostly back when I still had my retail job.

"Remote work" has a different meaning in Australia. It means you work in a remote place where you have to fly in and fly out of the workplace because there's no road access or because it's simply too far away from anywhere to drive to work every day. Most remote workers work for 2 weeks straight then have 1 week off.

Nice setup!

I do work at home sometimes but not often. So much of my work is clinical and requires me being physically present.

I've been working remote (from my home) for a significant part of my carrier. My current job has taken it to a new level, as I've been working for the company for +2 year and never met anyone working there irl - I'm very happy with that setup :)

I’m trying to work remotely from now on. I took a hard right turn and signed up for a medical coding course. Hopefully, one year from now I will be setting up my home office with a new job. In the meantime, I carved out a humble corner in my parents’ home for studying.
