Developed into having a swollen parotid gland. Finally got help from a nurse practitioner who prescribed me amoxicillin. Cleared up in about two and a half days.
Seemed a simple enough thing for me to get over with the right antibiotics. But in typical fashion I suffered longer than I needed to with a very painful and swollen jaw apart from all the usual cold symptoms.I’ll keep an eye out if this happens more than once.
