Psychiatrist are certainly strange creatures

@1ForAll

Excellent explanation of a very complicated subject. And as you already stated, often times, any medical doctor does not want to go back and say misdiagnosis on the last provider, because that's a lot more issues to deal with, it's easier to perpetuate the existing incorrect dx.

Thanks @Aspychata. Yes, it seems way more complex than it needs to be. If I had the money, means and power to fight such, I would try to help overhaul the current medical and insurance systems. That alone would make this world a much better, happier and safer place. As it is now, patients' rights are hidden far too much and rarely respected or enforced anyway, even if patients are lucky enough to find out their medical rights. They often do not have the financial resources, energy, patience, time or some other skill to be able to better deal with such an archaic system. Lots of patients though are finally learning more about the truths there, heading towards nontraditional approaches.
