This horny guy is thicker than my thumb. A huge beetle. It is called Rhinoceros Beetle because it has three horns. In this photo, you can clearly see the left horn and the “nose” (rhinoceros horn). The right horn is out of focus coming up at the viewer. This is actually a perfect shed exoskeleton I found out by my gate. I put it in my car and forgot about it. Just found it again.

We get them here too, as well as a few other varieties of similar size. They're notorious for ripping mosquito nets apart. They're not malicious, it's just that if they land on netting all the hairs and spikes on their legs mean they instantly get tangled and they're incredibly strong if not very dexterous.

Yesterday I was at a social club I’m a member of and complementing whether or not to do the John Mulaheny thing with the jukebox of playing What’s New Pussycat 21 and then putting in a Never Gonna Give You Up instead of It’s Not Unusual to mess with anyone there familiar with this prank when I noticed something very peculiar. What’s New Pussycat was labeled as being explicit. Why? Because of pussycat? That isn’t a bad word. If you say only the first half of the word then yeah it’s explicit but pussycat is a perfectly innocent word.
