Patriarchal Gods

One could argue that Yahweh and the Trinity are the same god since Christianity stemmed from Judaism. I don’t know about the origin of Islam.

Islam and Judaism both go back to the story of Abraham in the Old Testament. Abraham's son, Ishmael was the beginning of Islam. Abraham's son, Jacob, was the beginning of Judaism. The two boys were half-brothers.

Hi Coxhere, this is such a big subject-I just wanted to say this that something that may not be pulled up easily.

Regards God in the Torah/Old Testament and Christians. God us gave his Son as the sacrificial atonement to redeem us from us from our sins. Some people may not know this but the Jews also had the Divine Essence/Holy Spirit as well-so for them it was just absent of believing Jesus as the Son of God. There are some Messianic Jews, but I am not writing about them. Psalm 104 is good one for learning about the presence of the Divine Essence which is God's third attribute.

" Psalms 104 " Bless the Lord , O my soul, O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with majesty. Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain."

Christians though do have the Gifts of the Holy Spirit/comforter which is different from Judaism as well. Jesus said he would send his believers these to support them in their walk with their faith and the Church which he is the head of. The gifts of the Spirit are not established in either Islam or Judaism although they do have Angel Gabriel in Islam that is not the Holy Spirit/Divine Essence and Christianity is well known for its miracles and healing because of the Holy Spirit.

I wasn't thinking so much about the specificity of Allah, Yahweh, and the Trinity. I was thinking more in terms of these gods as within the constructs of dualism vs. non-dualism- - - -
Dualistic theology posits a fundamental separation between distinct entities, like good and evil, or God and creation, while non-dualistic theology emphasizes the interconnectedness and oneness of all things. Dualism sees reality as composed of separate, often opposing forces, while non-dualism seeks to transcend these divisions, recognizing a singular underlying reality.

- - - -or tribalism vs. universalism- - - -Tribal theology focuses on the beliefs and practices of specific cultural or ethnic groups, emphasizing their unique traditions, narratives, and experiences. In contrast, universal theology seeks to identify and articulate principles that apply across all cultures and religions, aiming for a more inclusive understanding of spirituality. I think that each god was perceived as dualistic and tribal in the beginning theology of each one. I think that each god is still seen mostly as dual and tribal. However, I also think that there are those who are evolving into seeing the universality of each god as one and the same as the others. I also think that there are some who are evolving into thinking of god as non-dual.
