Outdated Advice Game

Only make crank calls when your parents are in bed asleep. And don't put your vegetables in the downstairs toilet because l did cause it to back up.

We all know that children need fresh air to grow up big and strong, so if you live in a downtown highrise, it is best in the warm months, to let your baby play in a window cage, and even sleep there at night.

I like that movie! That was the Jeep the police officer (Laura Linney) drove?
Yes, and that was the Audi Richard Geer drove parked behind it.

They had to dirty up an already aged motel that was chosen because it had a hill behind it.

Both of the vehicles underwent a "makeup" session too.
The filming was done on Valentines day which would normally have been cold, but for some odd reason it hit about 70F that day.
The snow was faked in with shredded paper.

At one point during the filming, the camera angle required a shot towards the parking lot that was filled with set dressing and gaffing trucks.
It looked like a military operation as they coordinated moving about 15 or more big trucks and had the lot cleared in under a half an hour.
In all, the motel and my business were closed for a week just to do a few minutes of screen time.

The other footage of the house Will Patten lived in was local as well.
If I get a chance to scan them, I have photos of the entire fiasco I can share.

Dear citizen or subject,

You can completely trust our motives in whatever we do as we always have your very best interest at heart.

yours sincerely,

Government.

In 1824, women born of wealth would have needed to follow this rule, which today seems cruel and antiquated outside of only the highest classes of royalty or landed gentry:

“She who weds with one of an inferior rank in life has no right to expect that her friends will associate with her husband, or treat him with that respect which she may think his due.”

That reminds me of living in Hollywood. Those trucks that carry all the equipment are huge and take up blocks of parking spaces. They post little white papers on fences or wood posts citing upcoming filming events and that parking will be unavailable. Sometimes there is a catering truck also.

If you don't pick up the needle correctly on your record player, it can make a horrid noise. But a cassette player makes a bizarre noise when eating your cassette.

That’s really cool! I want to see the photos for sure. Did they film the scene with the bridge there as well? And the paint shop?

If you want people to take you seriously in the business world, then wearing a red power suit with large shoulder pads is a must.

No, the bridge location was filmed in New Kensington, a few miles the other side of Pittsburgh.

I can't provide an answer for the paint shop.

The Silver Bridge at Point Pleasant West Virginia was doomed from square one. It didn't have enough redundancy built into the suspension links and it failed due to stress risers in the links at the swivel pins.
A sister bridge that was local to it was shut down and scrapped as well.
The design was fresh and the weak parts were overlooked.
Some of the bridges that span the Allegheny river that date back to the mid 1920s in Pittsburgh were designed and built by the same outfit, with the difference being multiple links instead of just two to a side.
The Silver Bridge was completed in 1928.

The sister bridge was taken out of service because there was literally no way to service it after it was assembled short of building a support bridge beside it.

Back in my highschool days, we used to streetrace near local authorities jurisdiction lines because the laws then stated that the only way they could cross over the line was with an escort from law enforcement from the one they wanted to enter.
We had an entire summer of fun on an isolated section of a local two lane that was closed on one end by a bridge replacement and locked in on the other end by law :p

When in doubt, throttle out :D
