No regrets? Maybe...

I tend to beat myself up sometimes

Tonight I made a "choice" (my decision) to attend a one-time classic car cruise night instead of the usual one I attend... The one I went to was quite small, there were a couple cars of particular interest, (don't mind my car geekery) a modified Ford Festiva and a 1973 GMC Jimmy 2WD

I discovered later that my usual meet had a 1960's Rover 2000TC show up, I haven't seen one of those in years (literally), part of me is rather upset at myself for a choice I made (yes I made a choice), yet I know I can't be everywhere all at once, I made a choice of one over the other

Problem is that I do this to myself all the time, in both big and small things, focus on what I missed, when there was a very valid reason why I missed something, and I need to have no regrets about anything, but just live my life

Oh I get that. Wait until you get older. When you become introspective of your entire life. Reliving things that happened a very long time ago. Agonizing over all those bad decisions all over again as if they all occurred yesterday.

Yeah- the big as well as the small decisions. Lots of regrets.

Like when will I ever see a Rover 2000TC ever again (for those who don't know, a classic British car)

Or when will I finally see that 1970 Pontiac Parisienne station wagon a friend purchased recently, I know he's still doing some work on it

I do know things like that are really quite trivial, I just get a mindset sometimes, thanks for the reminder Judge...

I have had a very good life. Wonderful family, great Aspie working career and really cool hobbies. Still, there are lots of regrets.

It's just like us to ruminate in loops about choices. One small occurence can change our projectory.

Yup. just back from a day trip, 11 hours (420 kilometres) wandering around rural Alberta, scoping out vintage travel trailers, etc... I really shouldn't complain about anything... As per most of my road trips, timing is never exact, I can't squeeze everything I wanted to do in those 11 hours...

Nope.
Overall in life I could almost be like Frank Sinatra says:..regrets, I've had a few, but, then again,
too few to mention.

Three is all I really have. (so far)

Small ones happen, yes, but, they don't get me down for very long and are soon forgotten.
