Nope. The only way you can say something is "perfectly" green is to arbitrarily define a particular wavelength of light. What wavelength you pick is a subjective matter. There is a technical definition of what green is for the purpose of color imaging on a digital screen. There's another definition for filters in use for silver based photography.

I define you as being NT or ND based on arbitraily selected paramaters as interpreted by my subjective judgement with an artificial line I drew on a graph that disregards any blending of traits.

Yet we can mostly agree that grass in the spring is green. That agreement is important.

I don’t really understand what this post means, so I’m having to try and read between the lines which is not my strong point. What I will say is there is good and bad in all people, neither group be it autistic or ‘nt’ is exclusively devoid of either.

Eugenics(the study of how to arrange!!!!! reproduction !!!!!!in the human sentient population to achieve desirable characteristics)wasn't created by humans with autistic neurology ,eugenicists like Dr Mengele didn't have autistic neurology he had neurotypical neurology ,a lot of people would exist and have families if he hadn't been neurotypical,there are accounts on this forum of members with autistic neurology being sexually and/ or psychologically,physically abused at homes,hospitals by neurotypicals,Neurodiverse (autism,downs syndrome,)don't murder, advocate for war,punishment,neurotypicals do that!.

Well, disagreements aside, thanks everyone for the welcome! I believe we are all on a spectrum, though some spectrums maydiffer and our places on them are all unique. I don't think you can "tar all people who are either NT or not NT with the same brush" so its unfair to say all people who are X are mean or rude, etc. Just my thoughts.

As for my son, yes, I hope he can always come to me and that we can understand each other, it is a two way street.

I don't know if Mengele was exactly neurotypical, he was definitely a pathological psychopath though! Well, as far as I can tell, though I'm no expert nor am I a psychiatrist.....

Nope!

Even with the autism spectrum, there are sub-spectrums. That color wheel lists 5 different subspectrums. You could have as easily divided them into 150 subspectrums. (I call that pie slicing. You can slice any pie into as many slices as you want and you still have the same pie.) We use bigger slices because its easier to manage. "Executive function" is about as exact as saying something is blue-green.

If we assume autism can be adequately represented on a 2 dimensional color wheel and that the level of autism increases towards the center, the only perfectly autistic person exists in that white dot on the middle. However I'm willing to bet that all people with autism who don't die from it early on have most of their existance outside of that center.

Likewise a pertfectly NT person would exist as the circumference of the circle. I do not believe that such a perfect circle person would exist. There are no perfect circles in nature.

My personal opinion is that everyone is unique and while we all come somewhere on a spectrum or more than spectrum, it is not possible to absolutely pigeon hole someone. That is to say, we are all different and a mass of contradictions (well, NTs are a mass of contradictions so why not people on the autism spectrum?).

I totally agree, and that’s why I’m so against this us and them mentally.
NTs may well be a “mass of contradictions” but as you can see from this thread alone, many of ’us’ on the spectrum have absolutely nothing in common with each other other than a piece of paper from a specialist.

Bare in mind a certain percentage may be misdiagnosed which is a reason many who self-identify don’t want to be assessed if they could be, incase they don’t full fill the criteria, even though they continue to see themselves as autistic, despite having been found not to be! Or were the assessments wrong, one way or the other, who knows!

I don’t fit in either camp with my piece of paper. I’m diagnosed with ASD as is one of my daughters, my wife and other daughter are not! So perhaps I should tell the Nazi, abusive, half of my family to stay in their half of the house and the Aspies will stay in the other half as it’s so clearly divided into Aspies vs NTs for some people. Except it isn’t, because there is good and bad in all people.
