Need college students with ASD for help with my dissertation

Hi, all. My name is Stacy Henry, and I am a special education teacher in Georgia. I am in the process of completing my dissertation for my EdD in Special Education, and I have reached the point that I need to find participants for interviews as soon as humanly possible.

I need to find at least 10 young people who are currently enrolled in college who have Asperger Syndrome or high functioning autism. This would be very easy because all I want to know about is your experience with how your high school prepared you for your transition to college.

I'm trying to figure out what makes some people on the spectrum more able to stay in college while others drop out. If you are willing to help me or know someone who is, let me know.

Hi. You can check out the transitional college programs in some states that accept autistic students.

It would help if you're more specific as to what region you'd want your interviewees to be from (North America, I'd imagine), as many are from Europe and that would hinder your progress I'd imagine since they likely have different ways of college transitions over there.

I personally have never done any sort of College Transition Course, so I'm afraid I'm of no help to you. Good luck.

Meh, I'm in Sheffield, England and have spent several years in Education.

Including a maths course I'm doing at the moment with a view to eventually doing a resit of GCSE Maths because I failed the subject at school 28 years ago and I kind of need it for even the entry level "Office Gofer" positions that at 40 odd I'm too old for anyway.
