Movie you're most hyped to watch in 2026

Curious what movies everyone is most excited for in 2026, I'll start:

Supergirl- I went and saw Superman during a stressful period last year when a family member where having health concerns so I was escaping to the cinema. Saw this movie and adored it. Became a massive fan of DC buying all the comics and merch, so now I can't wait to see future DC movies. I've turned into a massive superhero fan. P.S. Said family member is doing much better now :)

In a Violent Nature 2- More of an indie horror movie, the first one was an unusual slasher movie but super entertaining. Very hyped to see part two

Clayface- Another DC comics movie but a body horror film also. Really like body horror movies so a comic book based one sounds like a treat

I am not sure if it is the same Supergirl, well I hope not, bc is didn't have a great review.
Is it the one with the Australian Actress?

I'm keen on watching War Machine.

So excited for Project Hail Mary. I read the book twice. I hope the movie does the book justice.

The book was written by Andy Weir, who also wrote The Martian, and you can see a lot of similiarities - SF setting, a single person overcoming a multitude of technical obstacles, hard science. But in Project Hail Mary, there is also character development which makes for much more sympathetic characters. I think that Andy Weir is maturing as a writer.

I'm enjoying this thread as it's honestly been years since I've been hyped for a movie. Sort of lost touch with what's coming out but the ones mentioned above all sound interesting. Even Toy Story which I'll age myself here I remember seeing it in the theatres when it came out as a young tween. Just old enough to catch the inuendo jokes but still young enough to appreciate it as a kid.

I don't know that it will come out in 2026 or at a later date but now that I think of it I am pretty excited that Spaceballs 2 is in the works. And I was also honestly and pleasantly surprised to learn Mel Brooks was still alive. I just sorta assumed he must be dead. lol. Terrible to laugh at that but it's true. Obviously they can't get John Candy in it but they've got a lot of the original cast involved, and children of the original cast playing children to the characters in the movie. Not sure if Candy's son is. But yeah, I think with the amount of the original folks involved working on this it'll be a nice tribute of sorts. Sequel yes, but ultimately this is just about paying respects to Spaceballs.

I must add (again, horror movies, haha)...

Evil Dead Burn
The Mummy
They Will Kill You
Scary Movie 6

Normal (action movie) ....looks awesome. Same director did Free Fire, so I know he can pull off action well.

There are a couple of new Norwegian movies I would like to see. "Agnes Against The World". And "Kraken", some fjord action is always fun.

I have heard about and have seen the poster ad for Kraken. I love what the Norwegian filmmakers have been churning out for a while, now. If Aksel Hennie is involved in any film for any reason at all....I'm watching it. I've been a fan since seeing Headhunters with Waldau all those years ago. Waldau, too...especially as he's obviously a fan of film noir stuff - all solid films. Anything by Tommy Wirkola or Andre Ovredal have been solid, and believe it or not, I briefly met folks repping them in 2007. I still have the overseas dvd's of Dead Snow, Troll Hunter and was also given one of then unknown S. Korean director Bong Joon-Ho's film, The Host. I wish we still had Michael Nyquist around, as he was set to be as big as Noomi Rapace has been - their trilogy together obviously belongs on any collector's shelf. I guess, overall, most in the mainstream only are mindful of the Skarsgard clan, but rightly so, as they've all been working and chewing up the screen for decades. I remember being in a theater by myself watching Ronin, and I really took notice of Stellan. Simple but so effective in that role, and I knew he was going to do bigger and better.

The Mandalorian!!!!

I am obsessed with Din Djarin and his covert "The children of the watch". Especially the armorer. She fascinates me.

I really truly hope it's a good movie. Whenever I see a trailer for it, I repeat over and over under my breath "Please don't suck. Please don't suck..."
