Managing Anxieties - the FLOAT Method

Go for it mate.....! See if it helps, it wont cure you but it definatly helps settle the mind...! It just calms things down a bit..!
 
Ooh, I like this. Will definitely give it a go. I get so very tired battling anxieties all day every day. I manage my anxiety by writing lists and being organised, or narrowing down my focus to small tasks to focus on. Will write FLOAT and the corresponding words on my whiteboard to focus on when I'm next anxious. Thanks!

No problem Belz! Go for it! Not a day goes by where I don't have some intrusive thought completely taking over my mind, my body, my life. It's terrible.

Ooh yes, I hear that. I know I'm such a pessimist, but anxiety doesn't help either. Will see how FLOAT goes and add it to my coping skills list. :-)

I am probably the King Pessimist. In addition to worrying I also complain all the time and I always see the bad in everything and everybody. I always go to the worst case scenario. I really do want to become an optimist but it's just so hard to do in the world we live in - and I tend to use that as an excuse. I make a lot of excuses and people don't like it. Frankly, neither do I.
